You can update your iPhone and iPad through your Mac or Windows computer. On a Mac running macOS 10.15 or newer, open Finder. On Windows or Mac running macOS 10.14 or earlier, open iTunes.
1. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer. If you’re on a PC, open iTunes. On a Mac, open Finder.
2. If you haven’t allowed it already, allow your computer to Trust your iPhone or iPad.
3. Click on General in Finder. And on iTunes, click Library, and then click the iPhone icon on the left side of the toolbar. Then tap on Summary.
4. Click on Check for Update and if there is an update available click on Download and Update and type your computer passcode if asked. Make sure your iPhone or iPad doesn’t disconnect.
Once your iPhone and iPad have been updated through your Mac or Windows computer, you can go to your iPhone Settings and check if the version is updated successfully.
